Doha, Qatar: Qatar Science and Technology Secondary School for Boys (QSTSS) celebrated the graduation of its fifth cohort for the 2025–2026 academic year, achieving a remarkable milestone as all 56 graduates secured university placements in Qatar and internationally.
The graduation ceremony was attended by HE Minister of Education and Higher Education Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater, alongside senior officials from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE), including Undersecretary Dr. Ibrahim bin Saleh Al Nuaimi, Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Affairs Maha Zayed Qaqaa Alruwaili, and QSTSS Principal Mohammed Ali Mandani Al Emadi. Parents, educators, and members of the school’s administrative and teaching staff also attended the event.
According to a statement issued by MOEHE on Wednesday, the graduating class achieved a 100 percent university acceptance rate, earning admission to 14 universities across five countries, including Qatar. Notably, seven students were accepted into globally renowned universities, reflecting the school’s commitment to academic excellence and international competitiveness.
Mechanical engineering emerged as the most sought-after field among graduates, followed by medicine and electrical engineering. Students also secured places in a wide range of specialized disciplines, including petroleum and gas engineering, chemical engineering, computer science, cybersecurity, nuclear engineering, and aerospace engineering.
The cohort demonstrated strong academic performance in international standardized assessments. Students recorded an average SAT score of 1,169, with the highest score reaching 1,530, while the average IELTS score stood at 7.06, with the top-performing student achieving 8.0.
In her address, Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Affairs Maha Zayed Qaqaa Alruwaili described QSTSS as a pioneering educational model that embodies MOEHE’s vision of advancing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education in Qatar. She commended the graduates for their academic achievements and research contributions throughout their studies.
Alruwaili emphasized that the school’s success reflects ongoing efforts to nurture a generation equipped with the knowledge, skills, and innovative mindset required to meet future challenges. She added that investing in high-quality education remains a cornerstone of achieving the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030.
QSTSS Principal Mohammed Ali Mandani Al Emadi expressed pride in the achievements of the graduating class, reaffirming the school’s commitment to preparing academically distinguished students capable of competing for places in leading universities and scientific disciplines both locally and internationally.
Speaking on behalf of parents, Khalid Abdulrahman Al Musleh praised the school’s educators and administrators for their dedication to supporting students and fostering both academic and personal development.
Representing the graduates, students expressed pride in their journey at QSTSS, noting that the education, research opportunities, and training they received have provided a strong foundation for university studies and future success.
The ceremony concluded with a presentation showcasing the graduates’ academic and research accomplishments, followed by the awarding of graduation certificates by HE the Minister of Education and Higher Education.
QSTSS currently offers three specialized academic pathways: Engineering, Medical Sciences, and Technology, designed to prepare students for careers in high-demand scientific and technological fields.
