Doha: The Qatar Cancer Society (QCS) announced that its sustainable school awareness program, “Your Health, Your Success,” reached more than 3,100 students across 124 public and private schools during the 2025–2026 academic year.
The program featured a series of interactive workshops and educational activities tailored to different age groups, helping students better understand healthy living, cancer prevention, and overall well-being through engaging and age-appropriate learning experiences.
In a press release issued on Wednesday, QCS said it plans to further enhance the initiative by introducing innovative educational solutions, including interactive digital tools, smart educational games, and the “Young Health Ambassadors” initiative. The new phase aims to expand the program’s reach while empowering students to promote healthy lifestyles within their schools and communities.
The Society reaffirmed its pride in its longstanding partnership with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, which has supported the program since its launch in 2017. QCS emphasized its continued commitment to strengthening school health, improving students’ quality of life, and contributing to Qatar’s vision of building a healthier and more informed society.
The initiative is designed to educate students about healthy lifestyle choices, reduce harmful health behaviors, and raise awareness of cancer-related issues, including risk factors, prevention methods, and the importance of early detection. It also seeks to reduce fear and misconceptions surrounding cancer by promoting a positive understanding of prevention and informed health decisions.
In recognition of its contributions to community initiatives, health education, and the promotion of national and human values, QCS was honored as a National Partner by the Department of Private Schools and Kindergartens at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education during the closing ceremony of the “My Values Shape My Identity” project for the 2025–2026 academic year.
